Summer Finally Arrived In Hamburg

The weather in North-Germany is often very critical. So I enjoy every single minute of sun here in Hamburg-City… 

The last days were the hottest we had this year so far. We had 30 degrees, full sunshine and no clouds. It felt like the city blossomed up. Everybody went outside to get some sunlight and ice-cream, while the air smelt like a wonderful breeze of lilies, lilac and roses. I still remember the last great summer here in Germany. It was 2006 while everyone was watching the soccer world championships. Since then I never experienced such a great summer in Hamburg because the weather is very bipolar. You can wake up to an amazing sunshine and 20 degrees until lunch time and then the weather changes drastic into lower temperature and cold rain. Its not possible to plan activities days ahead, cause the weather is never stable enough. That´s why I used to travel throughout the year. I am a sunshine Lady. I need the tropical weather, sunshine, beach and lots of positivity. 

Yesterday I met with my lovely friend @mrs.steemit for a usual workout early in the morning and already in the beginning of the day, we had bright sunlight, a huge blue sky with no clouds and peeping birds… 

The workout was pretty sweaty since the sunshine warmed up the fitness studio. But mrs.steemit and I had no excuses and also added a dance session on our fitness program, which was pretty tough though.  

After a cold shower and 30 minutes later we were ready to leave the destination and search for some healthy food. After every workout we crave for salads, smoothies and ice cold water especially in summer time. We found a great place called Blockhouse. They offer fresh steakes, delicious salads, tasty desserts and also free wifi, which was really nice because mrs.steemit and we cant stop working wherever we are… 😁 

Now it was time to work. We had a few tasks to do so we went to a cafe where we had a cold brew coffee with a splash of vanilla and my favorite this summer - Caramel Frappuccino. This cafe had free wifi as well so we decided work a little bit over there, do a little Swift session and after that we took some pictures in the sun to capture the moment.  

 
We are huge fans of architecture. Although I am a little tired of Hamburg, I was fascinated by the impressive building and statutes. The grey-ish color of the buildings matched the blue sky perfectly.  
 

Now we had a little sit down in the Marriott Hotel, where we enjoyed the pianist in the restaurant while working on some projects and planing our dance video for the sunset later on.

When we arrived in the Hafencity, where our dance location should be, we were a little bit disappointed because the sun wasn´t there anymore as aspected. The sunlight was already disappearing between the high buildings. But that didnt stop us. We chose a different location with our video filmer @agent and found the opposite side of the sunset which was even prettier. 

But we still caught a few little snapshot of the late sunset behind the Elbphilharmonie.

After we finished shooting our dance video which will soon be posted  ( stay tuned for the new project with @mrs.steemit ) we said goodbye to agent and drove to a cafe called "Four Seasons Cafe" which @sirwinchester recommended because of the incredible milkshakes. 

We ordered a Mango milkshake and a Chocolate one. Both were extremely delicious and served with a waffle, cream, candies and fresh fruits. I liked the mango one better, if they just added cream and fruits but the Chocolate tasted better with all the candy on top. 

Now it was already late at night, I still had an 1hour drive  in front of me. We shortly went to mrs@steemits home and watched our video footage we shot earlier. 

The day was full of activities, work, good food, much sunshine and a lot of positivity! 

I wanted to tell you guys quick how thankful I am. I am so glad that I joined Steemit in 2016. I never felt so respected in a community and I finally love to post about my life and my story. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope we will have many more sunny days like these, otherwise I have to travel again...
