Make Your Articles Standout!

I know I harp on all the time about writing good, quality content. And yes, maybe a little too much. But it really is what is important when it comes to producing either articles or blogs for either your own site or posting to Steemit. So when it comes to producing such an article, what makes it good quality?

In answer to this, the obvious is to ensure that your article is free of grammatical errors. Nothing sticks out as much as rookie spelling errors, and with spell checkers available in programs such as Word, or even built into the browser, there really is no excuse for these. The not so obvious is the use of words that sound similar but have totally different meanings, for example, using your, you're and yaw. (All sound the same, but all different.) and of course there is their, there and they're. Not as easy to spot, but certainly if you are unsure, look them up on the net to make sure you are using the correct one.

Engage Your Readers.

And with the obvious and the not so obvious out of the way, we come to engagement, not the marriage term but getting your readers to continue reading. And this is really quite a trick! (Hopefully you have got this far!). Make sure that your article or blog has a point, sometimes it can help to plan before writing, what I find useful is writing down a mission statement such as, "I want this article to focus on writing, good quality content!". You can then think this through, and make sure you get your point across when writing, and upon completion, if you have missed the goal, go back and re-write so that you do.

Finally, the summary, and this is simply summing up what you have written and reiterating your point. And this my friends is where I do say, writing good quality content will make your articles standout, keep your readers interested and deliver something worthwhile and with a point.
