Customers Are NOT Always Right.

Rant Time.

I have just spent a couple of hours this morning dealing with responses to a client who has come back after almost 3 months requesting changes to a form on their website. Although the job was completed in January, and we also provided an extra 2 months of support and despite numerous communications on them to ensure everything was 100% It is back to bite us on the ass.It is not that the issue that the changes are nothing major, in fact probably a couple of hours work, it is their attitude, and rather coming through me as the project manager, which I advised them to do, they have been directly 'abusing' my web designer, with terms such of 'YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN YOU ARE THE EXPERTS!' Of course, experts in web design but not the requirements of every company on planet Earth!These sorts of clients you can do without, we have already reduced the profits (if any) on this job to an all-time low, but all the extra hours as well as the unnecessary communications have made this a thorn in our side.People need to realise that when they purchase a product and/or service from you, that is what they are buying, not the person!Rant Over.
