Motivational Letter to the Mom

Just wanting to follow up from our conversation from yesterday.

First, I'm so proud of you for going to that MeetUp. You are such a damn adventurous spirit!

Second, you need consistent support (we all do) and I won't sit on the sidelines anymore. I have told you I would connect you with resources in the past when you've made clear requests and I haven't followed through. I want to show up differently.

Third, you may not see it yet, but support can happen in a way like you never new. Remember how shitty you feel when you are going for what you don't really care about. And how good you feel going for the thing you love...

VOICES will come up that try to say dreams can't happen. They do for everyone. One of the #1 things is to get support to work through the voices and keep the eye on the vision. AND, sometimes the vision fades and all hope can feel lost. This is the time when emotional connection is the only thing. Whether with yourself, or a friend. This might be the biggest challenge. You are resilient!

I won't try to push you or try to force a vision... It may be too early and it takes time to discover what it really is.

In the meantime, I will connect you with friends and people who you need to talk to. Kindred spirit and souls who have lots to offer. In the paradigm you've been living (any of us who are willing to go for new dreams) it's normal you don't see the way forward. Keep to the dreams that are rooted in what makes you happy.

AND DISCERN WHERE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES LAY. It's not in figuring out a way to find security for your kids, even though I see the love behind it and can't relate with what it;s like to have kids.

This is a little summary from our conversation:

You get really excited about service and adventure and people and animals.

• Seeing a way for your money to stretch over 5 years is exciting to you
• Stretching over 5 years is only the beginning... What happens in the meantime following dreams of living life now is the mystery (OK i added that)
• You want a new kinda dream to live for

Some bare bone tasks you've gotta situate ASAP

• Get out of your lease
• Sell or give away your antiques

Failing is inevitable. There is nothing worse than failing for something you don't care about in the first place.... Don't let the idea of building your business suck you back in. Let that shit go. That's the only way to let something else grow...

Things on the horizon

• Get support to get out of that lease! Get the ending date down. When you do, you will figure out what to do with you stuff in time. That's how it works... Get the date down!
• Talk to people
• I'll connect you with my friend Zaq. I'm speaking with him today. He will blow your mind about international travel.
• Keep following questions and curiosity that is passion oriented, not money oriented (I know sounds counter intuitive but you've got $$ runway and you will figure out money later, or die before it's all out ; )
• I have tons of people to connect you with. And, everyone does who is familiar with global travel and things. Relationships will be your #1 friend. And, building relationships around dreams can be scary and new, and eventually amazing!
• Get someone on your team. A coach. Someone who is skilled at keeping you forward and dream focused. I can fill that role in some way. And I think you would LOVE having a new friend who is there to keep your small voice at bay... I already have someone in mind for you who is just starting out, cheap, and skillful.
• Keep researching and exploring options and all you love and dream about
• Perhaps a transformational workshop on the horizon. Could be around arts and social justice. Could be around coaching and success mindset. Just some ideas.

I know you need to go at your own pace. But, really, first thing, let's get you out of your office.... Don't worry about what happens next. I mean, obviously, you need a place to be in your trailer with your cats.
