I'm not worried. These will be patched on most systems very soon. My PC is still vulnerable to Spectre though, according to InSpectre. This is even with Windows updated to latest via windows update.

I don't know much about these vulnerabilities, besides the fact that they are CPU hardware exploits. They sound quite nefarious just based on the name, which I'm sure the media just loves. Am I being naive thinking it's no big deal?

I actually think that it is a relatively big deal. Not only is this bug unfixable (unless you replace your CPU) but nearly every device on this globe is vulnerable. But what I'm upset about is that the prediction feature is manufactured for over 15 years now. AMD and Intel should have noticed it much earlier and develop some kind of prevention. We're still talking here about 15 years. But in the end we'll have to life with it. Right?
