Home decor: With ribbon or without ribbon?
Hi Steemians,
I bought a glass cloche from an op shop (thrift store) a while back and decided to put a candle with candle holder and a pair of dove salt and pepper shakers in it. I am not sure if it looks better with the lace ribbon or without the ribbon. What do you think?

Lovely idea.....sweet doves....and beautiful cloche. Thank you for the opportunity to ponder these things.
Without the ribbon is better however something is wanting...perhaps a white paper lace doily would work under the doves and candle holder. What do you think? If a doily is not available and you want to try the look....a white coffee filter cut into a snowflake may work just as well.
As a composition, in this case, one is looking to soften the ensemble....so we try various things until the eye is satisfied.

I really like it ! But I think too much white with the doves as well looks like it's designed for a nice wedding ! So at least omit the ribbon ! Just a suggestion as it is beautiful either way ! Thanks for sharing !😉👍
Thanks @karenmckersie. I think you are right. I will take the ribbon off. The doves were from a friend's wedding as was the white ribbon.
