Hello
My dear friends!

I am again here to share another diary game from when I visited Rajbari (Dinajpur). I also tell you how my little mistake made my excitement down.

My exam had been finished. So, I was interested in going outside to refresh myself. So I planned to visit Rajbari(Dinajpur) with my little sister Anuradha. I had heard a lot about Rajbari. Everyone praised the Radha Krishna temple and Durga temple in Rajbari. Said that the temples are very beautiful and well-crafted. And obviously, the Bigrahas of temples marvel at me deeply. We live in Barabandar (Rail Bazar). Rajbari was in Malda-Patti of Gunjabari area. So we had to go there by autorickshaw.

We thought that the temples in Rajbari must open after ten in the morning and close at 5 PM.

The Rajbari

So we got ready and went out by 11 am. We reached Rajbari by auto rickshaw within 30 minutes. We got down the autorickshaw and first I saw the main gate of the Rajbari. The door was blue and white and carved above. As soon as I passed the door, I saw two roads ahead, right and left. The road to the left was the entrance gate to the temple. On the other hand, the road on the right was the abandoned and old Rajbari. One of the Rajbari was very derelict but on the other hand, the gate of the temples was very beautiful and elaborate.

So, we decided that first, we will enter the temple. Then we moved left. As I went to the left, I came across the door of the temple. After crossing the gate, I again saw two roads on the right and left. On the left was the entrance to the Radha Krishna temple and on the right was the path to the Durga temple. The Radha Krishna temple was nearby. We had to walk a little longer to reach the Durga temple. So I decided to enter the Radha Krishna temple first.

The Radha-Krishna Tample

To enter the Radha Krishna temple we first had to pass through the temple’s main gate. The gate had very beautiful designs painted on it. It looked like the person who built this door had very good taste. A lady standing at the gate asked us to take off our shoes and enter. And also asked to enter by paying ten Taka for inspection.

However, we took off our shoes and entered the temple. Surprisingly, after 14 steps, there is another small door and that's very interesting too. On either side of the path leading to the small door were some trees that looked like there had once been a flower garden. Passing through the small gate we came forward into the main temple. There were many small rooms around the temple. Before approaching the temple, I saw a very big kirtan stage in front of the temple. Then we saw the Radha Krishna temple. The temple was yellow-gold and very attractive. But I went there and found the temple closed.

My mistake

On asking the people there, we came to know that the temple might open in the afternoon. The temple is open from early morning till 8:00 AM and then closes and maybe opens after 3:00 or 4:00 PM. We went to the temple around eleven without knowing the exact information.

As a result, Radha Krishna Bigraha was not seen on that day. So I just went around the temple and took some pictures. Then after spending some time we came out of the temple. When we came out of the temple we left with a visit of ten Taka. Then I left the Radha Krishna temple and proceeded towards the Durga temple.

The Durga temple and Rajbari

The Durga temple was also very beautiful. But unfortunately, the Durga temple was also closed. So leaving the desire to see the temple like that day, we went ahead to see the Rajbari. The palace was very much abandoned. It looked like it was made long ago and broken. But the impression that it was very beautiful when it was built or lived in by kings can still be felt. The walls are all broken. However, some trees grew on the broken wall. After seeing many abandoned parts we headed back. I saw something like a pond there. One was telling us that it was built for the King's bath. We did not proceed further and on our way back we saw another part of the palace.

which is still preserved and some people who are engaged in looking after the palace live in that part. There we saw the well of the king's house. Anyway, after taking pictures for a while, I came out of my palace.
Radha Krishna Temple and Durga Temple were the main attractions of our visit to Rajbari. But due to a lack of correct information, I mistakenly went to another time. As a result, we did not see the inside of the temple. I should have got proper information about the schedule of Raj House before going.
