Arsenal legend Ian Wright has shown his displeasure to Emery over his decision to substitute Lucas Torreira during Arsenal’s draw with Wolves.

Arsenal once again suffered another disappointing result at home to Wolves after Raul Jimenez cancelled out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s opener just 3 minutes after the introduction of Bukayo Saka.

The Arsenal boss is under pressure at the Emirates. Arsenal has now won just one of their last five league fixtures. They are currently three points behind fourth-placed Leicester City.

For once this season, Emery got his midfield selection right with the likes of Ozil and Torreira in midfield. These players stabilized the midfield, giving the forward the space needed to explore upfront.

While everything was working according to plan, Emery surprisingly replaced Torreira with Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal is no longer a team to fear. We are just like every other team. Our continuous defeat/draw only strengthens the beliefs of our opponents that they can get at least a draw with Arsenal.

This was also echoed by Wright when he said:

Whoever is playing at Arsenal, it doesn’t matter what the score is, they should have belief they have a chance of getting back into the game.

This just points out the problem with the current Arsenal squad and the fact that we have long way to go to achieve any positive result.

The coach is not helping with his selection and changes every time. With time, we will know where Arsenal belong and what the board think about Emery.
