Don’t let NO hold you back.

For those of you thinking about or starting a business, I have some news for you – no is something you’re going to hear quite frequently.

Don’t let something as simple as “no”, “I’m not interested” or “I just don’t think we are aligned” hinder you brining your vision to light. Over the last few weeks I must be transparently honest, I’ve let this in some form or fashion hold me back from making progress.

Years ago, I ran a successful consulting business for PBX and Telephony. I forgot about the obstacles that I had to overcome to ensure that my business was successful. “No” was something that I heard on the regular, I just simply would try to overcome the objection and add value – followed by trying to close again. It seems that I’ve forgot about the trials and tribulations you must endure to be successful at a venture.

The point that I think that I’m looking to make is that someone telling you “no” is just a short-term failure that you can overcome. Growth doesn’t come without having to endure failures, setbacks and most importantly people talking down about your vision, business or position.

Stay strong young bull, there is green pastures ahead. Continue to make progress and move forward. You can run in place – it doesn’t mean your making progress. If you get knocked down – get back up, dust yourself off, reflect and restructure, once you’ve done that its time to start making headway again
