Reflections of a year on steemit!
Well, Today I have been on Steemit one year. I decided to take stock of where I am. I noticed a few things that surprised me, one was that I have averaged exactly 100 replies a day in the last year, That really did surprise me! Then I had 8441 posts that I put in personally, and this number surprises me too, because I have always worked to reply to everyone that wrote me, so I would think this one would be higher.
I have been making a steem dollar approx. every two days.
I found the Hard Fork to be a poorly thought out change. that cost me a lot of the newbie accounts I like to encourage. I saw a 60 % reduction in comments from the Hard Fork, and I am still trying to recover from it.
There are three people I brought in directly to Steemit, but both are now hampered by low RC. I myself only avoided RC Jail because several friends delegated me enough SBDs that I could continue to function (they made bail for me, ROFLOL) but asked me not to mention them by name.
Steemit is still interesting, and there are still people to talk to here, so I am still betting on Steem! It has been a good year, and I have a lot of good friends here. I have learned and taught, and hope to continue with both.
So let us all Steem on, and see what the next year brings! Will not be boring for sure....

A BIG congrats on 1 year! It sure does go by quickly, but I'm glad to be able to read your stuff, thanks for posting what you do! You are also right as it seems that since the hardfork things have not been going real well and people have been dropping.

It has been a fun year, and I am happy you are enjoying my posts! I try to include good content, and keep things interesting.
The hard fork has hit us all hard. I was working specifically with new accounts, so I lost half my steemit friends in one day.
I will keep it here for sure, and see what another year brings! I have found some of those I lost on weku. So I didn't loose them all....

Thanks, the one thing I love most about Steemit is I get to talk to people all over the world! I enjoy the engagement league is the best of Steemit, and is worth the extra effort!
I am also keeping my fingers crossed. My biggest worry that remains is the whales using down votes to censor actual contributors.
Some of the whales are cashing out, and that is depressing the value of the SBD; but once they are gone, I think we will be better off overall. SBD will recover after they are gone, IMHO.

Lots of hard work there for certain! Placing in the League is answering every comment you get; winning is searching out new contacts and pulling them into engagement!

I agree. I think a full year from this point and everyone of us will be shocked st where we are.
RC Jail? ROFLOL! Yes It will get interesting over the next year, for certain!
I look forward to it, it will be interesting to see where SBD ends up, in another year. If some of the whales do cash out, that will give time for SBD to recover.

Yes ginning up comments is a lot harder now! People are watching their RC, and holding off on comments. I have been under 1% on RC myself (RC Jail) and it is unpleasant!
I still worry about steemit, the hard fork really hurt, and the whales that downvote with no comment, that think they are providing a great service!
But I also want to build up more, myself.

Yeah, starting off the RC's are a major concern.
No, but it is a weakness on Steemit, and I have a good friend being downvoted right now. Those down voting him, are doing it, because they do not agree with his politics.
They attack things he is right on, and claim those things are just conspiracy theories. They do not understand the science behind what they attack, by down votes!
Classic liberal ignorance, with a focussed deliberate refusal to think beyond the headlines!

:'(I understand. I can see how that could be an issue of concern. Basically being silenced by the wealthy if they don’t agree.
As for the RC’s...yeah it’s a major issue for new accounts. Not sure what the fix would be.
I hope steemit is still here. They will need to throw me out! So next December, we shall see, ROFLOL!
