Millions of mosques spread around the world. However, there are few mosques in them, which have attracted attention through religious significance as well as their construction and architecture. Some of these are famous for historical reasons, but some are discussed due to the use of sophisticated design and construction materials. Last year National Geographic published a list of wonderful beautiful mosques. Let's take a look at the pictures of mosques in the list and also their brief introduction.

Sultan Ahmed Mosque, Istanbul

Sultan Ahmed mosque is a historic mosque in Turkey. The first Muslim of the Ottoman Sultan, Ahmed, built this mosque in 1616. It is also known as Blue Mosque because of its blue tile in the interior walls of the mosque. The mosque has five main domes, six monuments and eight middle-domed dome. The location of the mosque is located just next to Hajia Sophia church in Istanbul.Like Hajia Sophia, it is also very popular to tourists. 10,000 devotees can pray together at the mosque. The UNESCO Mosque includes the World Heritage Site.

Nasir Al Mulk Mosque, Iran

Nasir al-Mulk mosque, built in 1888, is located in Siraj's fifth largest city, Shiraz. The traditional mosque is famous for its colorful glass windows. Though the mosque looks very ordinary from outside, its inner craftsmen are fascinated by the people. The light coming from the colored windows and the walls located inside the mosque make an impressive view by enhancing the different color designs on Persian carpets.Because of the pink tiles on the floor, the mosque is locally known as the Pink Mosque.

Isiclal Mosque, Jakarta

The word Arabic isticlal means freedom. Isiclal Mosque in Indonesia's capital Jakarta has been built in memory of the country's independence. The mosque completed in 1978 is the national mosque of the country. The mosque with a capacity of 200,000 devotees is one of the largest mosques in Southeast Asia.At the time of creation, it was the largest in Southeast Asia in terms of capacity and mosque in the mosque and the third largest Sunni mosque in the world after the mosque. Its tower height is 100 meters. Though Indonesia's mosques are generally three-level roofs, this mosque has been designed to imitate the architecture of Arabia.
