Experts claim that Verge cryptocurrency has privacy issues

Recently, an anonymous website exposed lists of IP addresses that were made through Verge's main purse, the cryptocurrency similar to Bitcoin that focuses on privacy.
As we know, Bitcoin has its limitation to guarantee the privacy of transactions, while Verge (XVG) is committed to maintaining the anonymity of its users. The cryptocurrency accomplishes this by using both Tor and I2P, the networks focused on anonymity.
The developers of XVG indicate that Verge uses multiple anonymity networks such as Tor and I2P. The IP addresses of users are hidden and transactions are completely impossible to trace.
The IP addresses provided by the anonymous source are difficult to verify. However, it is better to be careful when making use of the currency of privacy. XVG claims to be one of the most privacy-focused cryptocurrencies in this sector, but these claims have become questionable after some verifiable events that contradict them. The anonymous site that denounces the irregularities clarified:
Obviously, not all of the following IPs will be correct. Some may be retransmitting a transaction. The point is that a large amount will be correct because the XVG network is very small. If your IP appears in the list with a TX that you did not do, it means that you have transmitted it to another person.
Verge became the center of attention with a tweet from John McAfee, which raised its value to an unexpected point. Since then, the cryptocurrency has been under continuous controversy with a massive fall that has come after Twitter user MarQuis Trill told his more than 5 million followers to scrap the cryptocurrency.
John McAfee, the pioneer of antivirus software, recommended Verge in December 2017, which resulted in a price increase of 2,600 percent. The price increase came after one of the whales named XVGWhale spent a weekend with the influence of cryptocurrencies.
According to XVGWhale, the software mogul won Verge millions to promote cryptocurrency. Later, McAfee denied all allegations alleging that his phone had been hacked and the XVG tweets were not true.
The cryptocurrency focused on privacy has had a strange start this year and, ultimately, has been left out of the purses of many investors in 2018. The current price of XVG stands at US $ 0.16.
