Photographing pets and babies is complicated cause you can't tell them to make a pose or something like you can do with person , however, their expression are therefor so natural and if you catch the right moment you can make a really wonderful shots
here I am showing you a photo of my daughter's pets , two nice poodles named Ochi (the all black one) and Pandy...

your are correct its hard to potograph a pet it needs perfect timing , but sometimes catching their natural actions makes photo perfect :)
yes that is what i meant .... it is the same with babies ... you gotta be very patient and catch the right moment, perhaps take many photos and them select the best one
