Gimme the freestyle

"Doctor, doctor..."

It was another checkup day, this time with the endocrinologist. She is really nice and friendly and, she said I have a cute bellybutton, as if that was new information...

While waiting, Daddy and I did a little bit of coloring of some kind of "cheat book" where most of it was already done. I am not used to that, normally I have to draw my own pictures before coloring them in. I have a sneaking suspicion that these drawings weren't made by a child either....

I haven't had a lot of experience with the "here's one we prepared earlier" kind of learning but, have you ever thought about how much of children's stuff is already pretty much made? Drawings are drawn, toys are mostly done, many do nothing much at all It is all so, passive.

Like this week, Mummy put Mary had a little Lamb on Spotify and I heard it for the first time. I have known the sing for ages already but had only ever sung it. It was like crack cocaine, I just wanted to hear it over and over but, I didn't sing along with it much at all. I became a musical zombie. Scary. Daddy now has to ween me off it. Well, he is more the Cold Turkey type of coach.

Obviously, there are many different paths that I can take when approaching my skills for later but I wonder what would happen if I spent time only listening to age targeted children's music, what does it mean for the future? Would the simplicity build into complexity later or, would it be better to listen to a whole range of musical styles. I wonder, did Mozart start with the Wiggles?

Perhaps the difference would be that a person that is talented doesn't need the lines to be there to color between, they can create their own lines but, the average doesn't have that level of skill. Is there a difference between guidance and programming?

I still don't know what I am good at in this world but I really enjoy the life I have, at least most of the time. Even going o the doctor is a bit of an adventure and I get to find out all kinds of interesting things about myself. Today, I found out I weight 12.6 kilograms and am 86.4 centimeters tall. I don't know what that means for my BMI. It is pretty cool finding out things about myself and everyday I find out more as I try new things.

In the last few weeks I have been making up the most awesome songs, I can teach you. All you need to do is sing about everything you are doing at the time (and if you are holding one of your toys, include them into the song) to hatever tune comes to mind. It is kind of like Baby 8-Mile at my place at the moment. Of course, I am not allowed to eat Mum's Spaghetti because it has wheat in it but, you get the idea, freestylin'. Try it, it is fun. My songs make the parents smile too, which is a bonus.

I think it would be pretty hard to make up songs if I only listened to the lyrics and music of others though as I think that I would end up just copying it all like a parrot. Do parrots have good lives? Maybe they do, hard to know what a parrot thinks when all they do is repeat the words of others.

After the doctor we went to lunch as a family and then back home. The first thing I did (after taking off my pants like Daddy does) was start drawing. Of course at home, I blank sheet it, no guides for me. Well, sometimes I ask Mummy and Daddy to draw stuff too.

The other day in my advent calendar I got a book about an Abominable Snowman with cold feet in it. This is my version:

That is armpit hair if you are wondering. Mummy drew one too but I am too embarrassed for her to put it here on the blockchain for you guys to see. Let's just say that, some people have talent in some areas, some don't.

Phew, that was a pretty long post and after all the Doctoring and Drawing, it is time for a nice long bath and checking for sukkanukka (toe fluff) before kicking back with a porridge and milk before bed.

Have a nice evening

You got me checking for sukkanukka too! After that time you showed me how it was done I've added it into my routine. 😉😋

It is a healthy habit to add to your grooming routine. Just don't become one of those who collects it in a jar.
