The Tree of Hope
In the Advent of the Yuletide Season, I'm pretty sure all of us have already adorned our Christmas Trees with extravagantly beautiful decors.
Little did we know, there are some people who can't afford to buy those florid Christmas Trees, but still managed to make one out of recycled materials.
This sack-made Christmas Tree caught my attention while doing an Outreach Program at a remote mountain barangay here in Cebu. Here's my previous post about it: Reaching The Hearts Of Sitio Cabuan's Children.

Along the way, we've also seen plants which are adorned with detergent and instant food wrappers just to make it colorful.

Seeing those trees reminded me that Christmas is not about the expensive gifts nor the fancy Christmas decors that we see. It is about how we express our hopes and blessings in any form as long as it comes from the heart.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Very nice - and so different from our Christmas trees in Germany. But the spirit is what is important - it not about money...
