Fierce of life in the market place

in #culture7 years ago

Life is fierce in every where.
When you ‘d like to see what the life is, you need to go to the market place.

Among the market places, I strongly recommend to visit the traditional market in the center of seoul city.

The marketplace is opening at every weekend along the cheonggyecheon stream crossing through the center of Seoul city.

When I felt tired, I used to walk around there. Then I could get power to confront the difficulties which I had faced with.

I had lived my childhood in similar circumstances. We were very poor at that time. My father's business was failed, so my mom almost raised me and my brother.

Anyway, let’s get into the real life.

People were gathered into the market place.

They were bargaining on the street.

Is there something you need?

Here are everything you need.

These are not garbage but goods to sell

Why old horse saddle ?

For fishermen.

Sometimes you can find interesting stuffs.
I was interested in the old cameras, I want to buy.
But I couldn't because of my wife. Lol

I know that the market place was everywhere in the world, but this marketplace is very unique.

Time is the cruelest thing in the world.

It changes everything.

It never permit anything to stay it's place.

But this market seemed to resist against the flow of time.

When you are tired in your life, just looking around of this market place could heal your spirit.

Whenever looking around this market place, I found a young and skinny boy standing in the center of the market place with closing mouth and glittering eyes.

Yes it does :))))

Great post. We love this type market! It is about community and the magic of the obscure hidden bargain.

In our country we call such marketplace gikomba you can really find awesome gems if you're keen the trick is not to wear so smartly so as not to make them think you're very rich because they would overcharge you.

Great tip nairobi! We actually don't dress up to smart when going to markets. We avoid looking like tourists and try to blend in with locals.

that's right

thats great :)

hahaha
very clever

무슨 말씀을

The market looks like a gold mine for second hand goods. Is it me or does it look like most of those items are from the 80's. Those film cameras look pretty amazing though. Should send you some SBD to pick me one up. I am in need of a new Nikon. I mean a new old Nikon. Lol Thanks again for the post, always cool to check out places and hear from people I would not get to meet in reality.

Woww such a lovely place, also great article @slowwalker, it's like i can feel the warmth of the city from your photos.

Amazing keep up the good work :)

I experienced what you described here when walking around the markets in India, mainly New Delphi, Agra, and Jaipur. It also shows the beauty of humanity: no matter how poor people are and caught up in their struggles with life, there are so many who are out there to share, to put a smile on someone's face.
Following you, with great interest.

share and smile !

what a nice life

That is something I personally love to do, when I am traveling, go to the local markets, taste the exotic fruits, chat with the people, try food sold on the streets, ask for customs .. the same way I enjoyed looking at your documentation of the market and your witty humour - I enjoyed "something you need?".

A lovely post, my friend.

I loved these lines" Time is the cruelest thing in the world. It changes everything. It never permit anything to stay it's place."

I agree that time seems to take away many of the precious things in our lives, but each new day brings something new as well - like your trip to the market - it's a tiny world in itself, that as you said, seems to resist time.

One of our Canadian songwriters wrote, "There's something gained and something lost from living every day." I can see your day was not a loss - you found peace and joy in the market place. Have a pleasant evening, my friend :)

Thank you so much

I look forward to your posts each day :)
