Van Gogh's Sunset

This is a very mellow alpenglow sunset image I captured over western Kentucky. I named it "Van Gogh's Sunset" because the filtering I utilized with the digitizing tablet gives it a certain brush stroke quality reminiscent of Van Gogh's works.

I like the red and yellow hues mixed with the darker clouds layered throughout. I shot this from 7,500 feet (2,286m) above ground in the month of June.

I also made it into a polyptych (4 panel design) which allows you to spread the image out and gives a certain spatial enhancement to the presentation.
