Melting Rock

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

This is an unusual rock outcroping I photographed south of Mesa Verde, Colorado in the desert near my camp. I found the colors of the stone and desert sand juxtaposed against the background vermilion cliff walls and blue hued sky to be pleasing and relaxing.

This image is also from my Artistic Impression series where I use a digitizing tablet to lightly brush various filter effects into the image to give it a certain mysterious quality.

Cool photographic art, like a painting.

Thanks shiela, glad you like it!

Love this, just gorgeous!

Thank you birdie! very kind of you!!

beautiful, the colours are outstanding

hey lady penelope.. thank you so much!

This is beautiful. Actually it has to be one of my favourites. It really looks like a painting. The colours are also gorgeous. Sorry for the short sentences but my eye is giving me bother.

Cryptofiend! yes it does look like a painting. I've printed it as a Giclée on canvas which gives it a great texture as well. Hope your eye feels better!

It's not too bad I recently had surgery on it and they said it would go blurry from time to time due to inflammation over the next few weeks. It's more of an annoyance.

Good! hope you get well soon!

That's worth putting in frame and selling to people. you could easily sell it for 20 to 50 Bucks depending on size small, medium or large and a nice frame. It look nice in very HQ quality picture
