The BTC Con on Facebook

So today i joined a couple of Bitcoin Facebook groups.
It didn't take long to see that the scammers are out and in force no less. No firstly i will admit i joined in an effort to promote genesis mining. I'm not overly concerned about my code usage but now and again for a day or 2 i will go fishing. After all if bitcoin is to make the strides needed to push mass adoption for itself and Alts then more people need to be invested in it and using it. That is the goal of its design.

However from dodgy non paying faucets, fake cloud mining sites that give free hash (yeah cause that's believable) the worst thing i have seen is dozens of people saying get X btc and earn a gazillion 5 profit in just 2 days. It boggles the mind that these posts even have responses. One guy if told people "send me 0.02 BTC for the info". WOW! reaching there.
Annoyingly as i tried to post legit links to faucets i use and i know pay Facebook blocked the post as SPAM! Can you believe it.

People on there seem to think BTC is a get rich quick deal. I think moving forward all people in Crypto need to share their education and understanding and stop people from losing their coins. People don't want to invest or exchange fiat for BTC then they will have to live on the low faucets. Its not me being horrible is it? That's just how it works i'm afraid.

The other side of this is of course the Media. After the whole silk road and dark web trouble the last thing the mass populous needs to hear is everything to do with bitcoin is a scam, because of these people. I know we can't stop people buying in to these blatant scams but what we can do is explain why things like Genesis mining and others has an affiliate program. Its not scam more people its to spread the adoption and usage of this amazing technology.

Technology that has allowed things like this site to be here. Anyway i think i'm done with my little poor grammar rant for now.
