Wednesday Walk - Scrape The Sky
Here's a few more commuter shots from Chicago for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
I found myself a bit farther on the north side of town. Here's the Hancock tower. They have a nice little lounge on top you can get drinks from if you want a nice view of the city. Much better than waiting hours to get to the top of Willis tower.
Though the view from the Willis tower (above) is better for portraits. Be prepared to wait three hours to get to the top though lol.
On the north side of town I also passed by the old water tower. It looks like a strange castle got dropped into a modern city by accident.
Here's Loyola's old chapel. I think it is an art gallery now.
It is themed like an old gothic chapel. One day I'll actually have to go inside and see what's in there when I get some time.
Surrounding the chapel is a series of vaulted hallways with a courtyard in the middle. This would be a good place to do a drawing study with all the tricky bricks and arched ceilings.
Later that day I took my typical sunset commute photo off the bridge. This winter is alot brighter than usual.
The light trapped me in the middle of the road allowing me to get a shot of the lit up building off in the distance.
Here's a shortcut I take sometimes to avoid the swarms of other commuters.
That's it for this #wednesdaywalk Chicago is pretty nice without polar vortexes for a change.

I tend to try and avoid tourist spots especially at peak times
Sometimes tourist spots absorb you into them lol.
