Share my world: Garden Spring 2018
2018 was my second year gardening. A look at my Spring 2017 garden is here. This post is a chronological look at my garden from January to June 2018. In addition to the great food I planted in my vegetable garden I also planted a wildflower garden and started composting this year.
January 2018
Sage
I wanted to plant some herbs in the garden. You will see later, that this type of sage has beautiful blue/ purple flowers.
February 2018
Bok Choy
One of my favorites! I let some of it flower and go to seed. I sent seeds to @scottshots in Tahoe. Steem friends connecting in real life!
Carrots
My cute neighbor wanted to see my garden and he got a yummy treat to eat too.

June
The heat is intense by June so the flowers are dying and the watermelon is the only thing left growing.

All photos were taken with my smartphone. It is so great to have such unique, beautiful subjects right in my own yard.

Nice garden, especially the wildflowers. I don't really have any outdoor space so I mostly have a bunch of houseplants.
Thank you so much @jman27
Everything is so well organized. And I love the wildflower garden. Sooooo beautiful!
You are growing all my favorite vegetables. Bok choi is so yummy in a stir fry!
And your little neighbor is adorable :) Looks like he loves carrots :)
Thanks Martina.Gardening has been such postive addition to my life- good food, beauty and therapy out watering and harvesting. I am going to do another post soon with the pictures I took with my DSLR.
Looking forward to it! Unfortunately I don't have a garden here but a couple of years ago I planted some veggies on my terrace. I loved it but it is so difficult to do it when you travel. And I didn't want to bother my friends with watering so I stopped. But one day I will have a big garden 😉
I agree, it is hard cause I travel too. I don't have pets for the same reason. If you have a small garden, can I send you some of the harvested Bok Choy seeds?
That would be very kind of you dear Sara! :)
My email is [email protected] if you would like to send an email with your info.
No worries if you are not comfortable. Just thought it would be fun to share.
Oh Sara! Of course I am comfortable my dear :) And it is so sweet of you to share the seeds with me :)
I was just so crazy busy. I had some doctors appointment, then went to take some photos for one of my posts and spent half a day yesterday to prepare my vegan experience in Florence :) I'm going to send it to you now :)
Oh my goodness. Your vegetables look so healthy @sjarvie5!
I love the wild flowers. I'm so happy that they seem to be the "in" thing to grow these days. I could never get enough of them. 😁
Thank you Gillian. They taste so good too. I bought the big packet of wildflowers when I was getting the vegetables and it turned out great!
Love the garden! I always like seeing other people's gardens!! :)
Thanks Matt. Do you have one too? I am excited for fall and planting again.
You are welcome! Yes I do! :) I have mostly fruit trees in containers though. haha :) I love gardening!
