Peaceful Place
During a meditation I was asked to think of a peaceful place. How did it make me feel? What was it like?
I imagined my parents porch.

I grew up in San Diego, California and since leaving home my parents, a brother and a sister have moved to Oregon. When I go to Oregon I go to spend time with my family I do not have the time commitments or distractions of visiting other people.
It is the most relaxing vacation I have each year.
I love sitting on the porch and talking with my family
eating raspberries off my dad's raspberry bush

seeing the animals, especially the quail. I love quail!

and reading a good book.
The porch is my peaceful place. It is easy for me to imagine and makes me feel calm, safe, secure, curious and loved. The weather is cool and refreshing. The birds are singing and talking to each other. It is a wonderful place.

So beautiful and calming. My place would be the garden of my father in law. It is so tiny but he turned it into an oasis of peace. I could sit there for hours watching birds and enjoying beautiful trees and flowers around me.
