SteemFest is over, and now I'm back in Hamburg for a while before heading to the next destination for APPICS.

SteemFest has been so amazing that I still have so much to share, so get ready for some more lisbon footage in the future.
But in the meantime, being in Hamburg also means teaching my dance class.

So I decided to record some of my freestyle after class to share it with you!

Dancing has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager.
I love to choreograph, freestyle, and also help my students grow by teaching.
It's not only about working out, but synchronizing to the music and communicating the message through movement!

So I started off with a warm up, then continued with a choreography and some freestyle exercises.

After the class, I was still in the mood to dance!

As the music kept playing, I started freestyling.

The first video I'd like to share with you is to "Rather be with you" by Sinead Harnett.

As a dancer, it is important to keep challenging yourself.
Whether that's with spectacular moves, acrobatics, or incorporating props into your dance!
These props merge with your arm to form an extension and become part of the play.
With creativity and confidence, whatever prop you're using is becoming part of yourself.
It can't fall, because you're not falling, and so it becomes an extension of your body.

The second video I'd like to share is a freestyle to the song "Lion" by Kacy Hill.

The track features some exotic beats which made me dance animalistic.
I am moving to the flow, making use of the different height levels from standing to kneeling to crawling.

This style of dance is called Experimental.

This means to fully submerge yourself into the song and become part of this fantasy world where you reflect the song with your moves.

There is no right or wrong because it's just free. Whoever creates it becomes the master of this fantasy world.

It felt great dancing again, after the break due to traveling.
When I freestyle, I just let my body move to the music - I let go of control and of all unnecessary thoughts.

This feeling to express yourself through movement, and to synchronize to the music is just so unique.

That's why dancing will always continue to be a passion of mine - weather that means choreographing, teaching, or simply dancing for myself.

This was just a little insight into my daily life and how I spent my sunday yesterday.
