As much of a fan of being anywhere other than this dusty western town, I do enjoy the monsoons. The clouds roll in giving hope that the once dead wasteland will soon come out of hibernation and erupt in a series of colors that are reminiscent of a place that is alive far far away from here. Rain rain, come again and take me from this arid land...

Oh, I agree!!! There is nothing more amazing in that part of the world than when the lightning bolts start dancing on the clouds and more horrifying than the dust blowing in like it has last week and this week. Yikes!
I am glad I am on this side of the country, but, admittedly, it was an interesting experience living there for a couple of years!
