Vanity and dirt (poem)

Smile while you drown
The world won't remember you where you're gone
You don't owe anything to them
And while you struggle the will mock you as if you were a clown
You wish to be so many things
Each desire beaded on empty string
They can't see what it hold
Only your eyes can watch there dying soul
In your heart the live every night
Each desire the burn like a moth in the flame of light
Stand up every time you fall you hear the great men speak
They do not know your sordid life nor do they know your struggle fading in nothingness so bleak
Lest your body might drown
To your soul the sky will be the crown
Do not the afraid of water in your boat
Live and smile before you toast overboard
Some men have died hungry
Some men have died thirsty
Death will choose you when you weren't worthy
Keep that straight face as the watch you and frown
Smile while you drown
Smile while you drown
Honestly sometimes there's nothing to smile about... we're all drowned in frowns at a point
