Converted a Bitcoin into a Stack

I've been stacking for over 20 years, but I came to the crypto party late. I bought my first Antminer S3 in 2015 and I did it more for fun than to make a ton of money. I did manage to mine a few bitcoins (through various pools) over the following year an a half while Bitcoin languished in the low $200's.

So when Bitcoin ran all the way up to $3K a month ago, I decided to take a small profit and turn it into something I could hold in my hand.

Let's just say, I Like Junk in my Trunk!

This is $100 face value of Kennedy '64s. 1/10th of a bag.

Kennedy 64's are my all-time favorite junk coins because most never made it into serious circulation. Therefore, it's nearly impossible to find ones that are significantly worn, unlike Franklins and Walking Liberties which sometimes look like slugs rather than coins.

If Bitcoin survives the fork and goes even higher, I will cash out another and buy an even bigger stack!

One more thing, as they say in the movie Rounders....."Don't splash the pot!"

I should have waited a while. That stack would have been much bigger!

Yes. U.S. Dimes Quarters, and Half Dollars were all 90% silver prior to 1965. 1964 was the first year for the Kennedy half dollar. Since silver was removed from almost all american coins with the Coinage Act of 1965, most of these Kennedys went straight into the hands of hoarders (their term, not mine.) This is why you will hardly ever find a Kennedy 64 with significant wear and tear. And that's why I love them!!!

Good info.

Nice reply. Here in the uk we had 92.5% silver in coinage until 1919 then it went to 50% until 1946. Its hard to get at spot and i dont own a single piece which is a shame. The coinage was a different format also back then, we had crowns, florins and shillings which sounds very old timey to me. I most keep an eye for the forum for some.

So thats what one btc looks like in silver - i am resteeming this one because I like it and because in the year 2017 i will officially know what 1 btc looked like in a stack of silver! Looks Goooooodddd...
