The Eternal Reward
That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Luke 22:30_
I don't know if we see or understand what Jesus Christ was giving here as a promise. He was telling the disciples that they will eat and drink with Him at His table in His Kingdom. I know very well that men on earth do everything to eat with some important personality or to shake hands with some men in authority (who are mere mortal men) here below. But here, Jesus Christ, the glory of Heaven promises that we will be at His table... He will introduce us before His Father, His Angels and all His splendor. What an honor!
What is interesting about this promise is that the disciples will have their thrones, and they will judge the tribes of Israel... Those who were condemned before, will now become judges. Someone may be surprised at this honor bestowed on the apostles. Yes, the Apostles! That's right, they have the privilege of being the premise, yet God is no respecter of anyone, The same dimension of grace and glory is reserved for all who have remained faithful to him to the end. The future is glorious for the elect, the disciples of Jesus.
Let us pray: Father, I cry to You for Your promises made to the elect and the disciples. I pray that I will remain faithful to the end, to benefit from it, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Revival is now!
