The Diary Game: 7/08/2021; Setup for Emunah Concert

Hello steemians. Hope you all doing well. I bring to you another exciting episode of my daily diary.
It was Saturday and all that preoccupied my mind was setup for the Emunah Concert on Sunday.

Got up at 6am and started loading and parking equipments into my boss' car. When his car was full, he left to look for a cargo to come carry the other remaining equipments. When the cargo arrived, we parked the remaining equipments inside the cargo. When the cargo was full, we left for the Franco Alliance hall.

When we arrived the hall, the main gate was locked. We waited for the gate man but he didn't come. So we had to offload the car outside the gate and then carry the equipments into the hall through the smaller gate. We couldn't begin setup instantly because karate classes were on going in the hall. So we parked the equipments by the side and on the stage.

Immediately the classes for the karate kids were over, our boss immediately gave us directions on what each engineer was supposed to do. Setup immediately began.

I had to mount the line array stand and then positioned four line arrays each side so my boss could hoist them. The work might sound easy but just that took us about 3hours.

When we were done hoisting the Line Array speakers, we went for break. I ate fried rice, with chicken and Malta. After the break, we immediately resumed with work.

I had to setup all the microphones for the lead singer, the MC and the backups on stage. As easy as it may sound, its a difficult task trust me. When I was done, I had to check the lights. The person who had connected didn't do it well. So I had to redo everything. Though I encountered so difficulties in tracing all the cables used to linked the lights, when I was done, everything was passing.

There after, I boss did sound check and everything was passing. We then started balancing every individual instrument from the pianos 🎹, bass guitar 🎸, solo guitar 🎸, drums 🥁.. everything was ok. Then, we balanced the microphones of the singers. When that was done, we then did general balance where the singers were singing and the instrumentalist were playing along. Everything was ok but sincerely the sound wasn't as good as it was during J P's concert. Moreso, the stage presence wasn't felt since the musicians on stage were not provided with speakers but instead were using but the "in ear system". As a result of the lack of presence on stage, my boss decided that we will provide the musicians with their backline the next day. By 7:48pm, we left the hall and headed home. When we arrived home, we had dinner. I couldn't stay up longer since I was so exhausted. I then went to bed at about 10:17pm.
