Food Captured with Yummy Thoughts

Many people believe food is life and I am also among these people. This is because scientifically, humans cannot survive after 11 days without food. The body system undergoes the process of metabolism which needs some amount of food to keep the body working and fine.

I didn't notice the contest earlier until today being the deadline, but then it's not too late to make an entry yet so I will be sharing my "Food captured with yummy thoughts" in this post and I would like to thank @artist111 for hosting yet another amazing contest.

COOKED YAM WITH PALM OIL
This dish is special to me not just because I love eating it but also because it is known across Nigeria and Africa.
Yam today is costly so I would say it is not affordable in my region but some people still try to afford it because it is nutritional.

This dish is very easy to prepare with no stress as you only need to peel your yam and wash it very well, put it in a quantity measured water and boil till soften. After cooking the yam to done and removed from the Pot to plate, get your palm oil in a small bowl or plate and add a finger pinch of salt and your food is served.

I began to love cooked Yam and palm oil right from my young age. This is because every time I visit my grandmother she'd always prepare it for me at least twice or thrice during my holidays with her. I ate this delicacy today which was prepared by my lovely mother.

Well yam is planted in many regions and many countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Colombia, Benin and more other countries across the globe. But I will talk about that of my beloved country, Nigeria.

Nigeria is considered the world's largest yam producer with over 70 - 76 percent in the production chat. Taraba state leads the way for the yam producers in Nigeria with over 13% of the county's production. Other states like Niger state, Kaduna state, Benue state, Anambra state, Oyo state among many other states also contribute in the yam production of the country to make it the largest producer in the world.

Speaking of Palm oil production, Malaysia and Indonesia are considered the world's largest Palm oil producers with Malaysia leading the chart on 51% and Indonesia 37% together accounting over 85 - 90 percent of the production chat.
Other countries like Nigeria, Colombia and Thialand also produce palm oil.

A combo of Cooked yam and palm oil makes a nice and mind blowing dish. This delicacy is mostly found in Nigeria among the Igbo people as they are believed to consume a lot of Palm oil and yam.

This delicacy is consumed by most people for satisfaction. A little quantity of cooked yam and palm oil can satisfy many so they primarily eat this food for the aim of getting satisfied and filled up, although it is very delicious and breathtaking.

The delicacy is also used for occasions among the Igbo people in Nigeria because they believe it can serve guests with an average quantity.

Food is important and needed in the body for human growth. It has a lot of effects in the body like aiding body growth and healthy body condition.
