Apparently, I'm Tom From MySpace (But I am not, really!)
Hey Again, Steemitizens!
Well, this just happened.
I greet a lot of new minnows who write compelling introduceyourself tags and often make some great new friends that way. I do this periodically when i've caught up on other steemit tasks and reading.
Apparently, as a result of that practice, I am often people's first comment ever, or first follow and re-follow. I don't specifically ask for these. I just greet people now and then who seem interesting and who hold promise of interesting posts to follow. If they don't bear fruit, I eventually fade them from my followed list and let them go.
Anyway, this exchange in comments on one of my recent posts, made between a couple such first time friends and myself, made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Then we realized, I look like Tom From MySpace in my current profile photo, one taken several years back, actually, but which has haunted various profiles ever since as one of the better shaped and lit photos I have for such profile usage.
Do you see the resemblance? In this case, I think I do. It was not intentional, but now it is! By all means! I'll be your first friend. Won't you be my neighbor here on steemit?
