Special report - Moon struck by asteroid
Earlier today, a large asteroid struck the moon as the explosion could be seen with the naked eye.
The asteroid was about 40 kilograms and of similar size if it hit the Earth would cause a crater of 20 meters deep and kill tens of thousands people.

Actually, that happened in 2013. No, it wasn't a large asteroid. It was a very small object that hit the moon. It's unlikely that it would have killed tens of thousands of people on earth. Most likely it would have burned up in the atmosphere or landed in the ocean.
