Blockchain and the dream of new money

It almost looks like some people forgot why the blockchain was created in the first place. Like it was created to make easy money, while it was created to change the world! Like this video i wanted to share with you all about the Philippines, with different stories about how the blockchain changed the lives of many people.

There is a story of young teenager, who is 14 year's old and had not seen her mother for 3 years!! Because her mother is working in Dubai! That alone is almost impossible to understand how she feel, or how her mother lives in Dubai, we all heard those crazy stories of Dubai. And then there are 10 million Philippines working abroad, that's lot of broken families!! :(

From my point of view that is very difficult to understand, because i live here free in the Netherlands and don't have the pressure what many people in the Philippines live in, but it seems like we do have in common that the technology of the blockchain, can help them make life easier. Like the 14 year old teenager who used paid expensive transactions costs, can save more by using bitcoins to get and receive money.

I see the same problems here in the Netherlands, with people who send money to the country of my parents, Suriname! When they must send money that they must paid 10% transactions costs, and people will ask questions about the money. It's almost impossible to send 100k Dollars without justice department hanging over your shoulder. And yes there are people here who earn that in a legitimate way, but are stuck with rules unless they must paid.

That alone is one of the benefits of working with the blockchain in the future, people really dont need banks, or trusted third parties because the blockchain is a system what is created to remove those parties. Which can benefit the poor and the rich and not just with transactions but with many more creations, or ideas or concepts what could benefit our society.

Like another story of that video what gave me a weird feeling in my stomach, it was of the old lady who works all her life on a dumb, since she was 9 till 62. What she explained was devastating, that she search for plastic and then sell them, and she did not have enough money for a proper education for her children, who then on the end did not finish school. Now she did not say what happen to her children, but the way she said that she was working all her life there and also did not have enough to paid school for her children was very sad, very sad.

Then a smart guy comes along, who created a company called Plasticbank. Where workers can bring plastic and can earn dollars or cryptocurrency from it. They even get a online bank account with a crypto wallet. That's just a brilliant idea if you ask me, because they are working on the environment and want to clean the oceans, and offer the poor another way of earning more money then ever before. The amount what workers earn jumped up 4-5 times and the value of the token can even rise more, what would benefit the workers.

So this is just one of the many brilliant ideas what creators made, to make a better world for everyone by using the blockchain in a smart way. But still for some reasons the trust in cryptocurrency is still low, as you can see on this picture below.

While the Banks don't do shit for his citizens, we are like cattle and they are the farmers. We are the sheep and they are the Sheppard. Because they want to earn from everything you do, as we al can see from every transaction we made. But why? Because they walk around in a suit??? Or because they had the monopoly position with money from the past and want to keep earning money?

Like it's needed that the banks should earn money from us. But what did the Banks really did for you? Have the banks supported you in your relationship, with parenthood, with paying bills or bringing food on the table? Nope the banks wound help or support you, unless they can earn from you, then they will have coffee and tea ready to welcome you. While with Bitcoin it's different, because of the blockchain technology can smart guys created applications what could benefit the public.

That means, the public can use those applications for what ever reasons and even earn money from it, like Steemit is one of them. Even if others complain about the price or about the hardfork or about what ever, and still i see a good concept on a working platform. No matter what people say, that is the truth. There is no other application as the Steemit eco system, with different applications build on it.

But if you ask me, then Steemit was a logical next step in the evolution of social media, where the blockchain technology was used to create a better social media platform, what could benefit everyone. I did not hear about Steemit before it was created, but im only saying that if i look at the timeline of software technology around the blockchain and social engineering projects, then Steemit is nothing more than a logical next step in the evolution of social media.

It will work for members who see benefits in the eco system, but it wound work for people who are after money, because if the price of Steem will drop, then many will sell their Steem/SBD. Compare it with the woman who worked for 50 years on that dump would say...

Nahh this cryptocurrency does not work, im going back asking for dollars again!!

Or the little teenager calling her mother in Dubai, hey mom better send dollars because crypto price is low!!

Or Let's get back to Facebook, and place useless content, and hold useless conversations were everything is nice, or create anonymous account and attack everything what is wrong, and let facebook sell our private information to corporations, with the goal that they can send us useless ads again to make us sell something or go somewhere.....

Because the price of the Bitcoin/ Steem/ Steem dollar is low!

And of course the old woman and the little girl would never say that, but most of us have a decent life, we can afford the luxury to say, i don't care about the price now ill lust HODL and just keep going with my life. I don't see anything wrong to use the Steem eco system and explain to others about the benefit of that system, without talking about the value of Steem/SBD!

Unless i was here for the profit, then i would worry about my investments and can even blaime Steemit for it. But would that be correct? No of course not, because then i would not understand the true reason why the blockchain was created, it was not to create a bigger wallet and more to create a better world. That saying, we should take a example of the Philippines, by using projects to make life easier, while many here in the west complain about low prices and profit! I don't know but, there is no other system as Steemit, which is connected to many other applications, what i used to make life easier!! There for i ignore profit and the low Steem price, and simply focus on the benefits of the Steemit eco system and use it to work on a different world!

It almost looks like we have two choices, we either invest for profit or we invest to get a different world what could lead to profit as well. And i think it's out of fear that many rather hold on to the old system of making dollars, while they also want a different future.

But the truth is, the only way to make a change, is by being the change you want to see in the world. If those French revolutionaries stayed home out of fear, then there would have never been a French revolution. Same thing counts around cryptocurrency and the Bitcoin or Steem/SBD.
