Wednesday walk about at Memory Lane
#WednesdayWalk is a challenge started by @tattoodjay, The idea is to get out for a short walk, and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start.
This series of photos were taken along Upper Serangoon Road in Singapore. It's a place I was familiar with when I was in school, between 8 to 16 years old.
But with time, things has certainly changed alot... I took a few snaps of old stuff that is somewhat still the same...
This statue is still parked right in front of the now RUN-DOWN upper-serangoon shopping center.
The above was my school but now converted to the Girls Brigade property I suppose...
I remember walking that area a few times when I lived in Singapore, over 30 years ago I bet it has changed a lot since then
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :)
I didn't realized that you lived in Singapore. How long did you lived here? I guess you were working here?
Yes I was working there for three yearsI think I left there in 1998 and loved my time there

With my Lung issues I cannot fly anymore otherwise i would love to visit there again and see how much it has changed
I was going to ask if you ever thought of coming back for a visit. Then I saw your reply to @sinlg. Sorry to hear that your lung issues are preventing you from flying. You will have to sail here then. 😃
Ohh I would happily do a round the world cruise going back to NZ and stopping in Singapore, I did see one that did just that but my wife has a fear of Boats and would never entertain us doing that LOL
Too bad there is no Star Trek's teleportation technology...
Ohh yeah that would be handy for me
