Hasan Kleib, drinking mineral water like in a coffee shop (Ambassador as permanent representative of the Republic of Indonesia) to the UN, World Trade Organization (WTO) and other international organizations in Geneva

As a representative of a country in international forums, a diplomat should be able to behave in an ethical manner. The ethics of the diplomat can be mirrored by the public to assess the extent of their experience. Although it is trivial but when it is highlighted by a camera that is watched by the public then the trivial it could be the other way around.

The short footage of the video below took place when Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi accompanied by Menkumham Yasonna Laoly submitted Indonesia's UPR (Universal Periodic Review) report before the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva in early May. In minute 1:05 it appears that the Ambassador as Indonesia's permanent representative to the United Nations, World Trade Agency (WTO) and other international organizations in Geneva, Hasan Kleib, drinking mineral water like in a coffee shop.

Perhaps Hasan Kleib forgot when the international forum was watched by thousands of people. Human rights activists in Jakarta at the beginning of May were watching together through a live stream of web TV UN TV. A diplomat, especially at the UN forum, all his movements into the spotlight. Drinking mineral water without a hose in the coffee shop when the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Law and Human Rights was being "tried" before the UN Human Rights Council is unethical.

Perhaps Hasan Kleib is nervous because after the UPR report from Indonesia it can at least risk his position as Ambassador and permanent representative of the Republic of Indonesia to the UN, World Trade Organization (WTO) and other international organizations in Geneva.
