Hello, Steemians! Hi, friends! Today I will show you photos of interesting paintings from the art Museum of Krasnodar. I want to show you beautiful portraits of talented artists: Tropinin, Surikov, Kustodiev and some others, I think you should like them.

Vasily Surikov from an early age wanted to write historical stories. He was born in January 1848 in Krasnoyarsk, his ancestors in the XVI century came to Siberia from the don with ataman Ermak. The artist was always proud of his origin and said:

From all sides I am a natural Cossack... my Cossacks are more than 200 years old."

And he began to draw very early, at first " on safyanov's chairs he painted, and a little later on paper )

Surikov often painted women's portraits, in my opinion, and he turned out they are excellent.

This painting by Vasily Surikov is called "Portrait of O. M. Velichkinoy" (1914). This woman was a Baroness, Clodt von Jürgensburg. She always looked very impressive and was represented.

Below in the photo you will see a picture of a talented artist Vigee-Lebrun Elizabeth-Louise, this painting is called "Portrait of Elizabeth Alexeyevna."

This French artist, a master of secular portrait, was the daughter of portrait painter Louis Vigier and favorite artist of Queen Marie Antoinette. But after the revolution, she was forced to leave France. And in the late 1790s she worked in Russia.

And this picture is called "Portrait of the writer Danielа Lukica Mordovtseva" (1901), belongs to the artist Boris Mikhailovich Kustodiev, surely you have heard about it and more than once ) Boris Mikhailovich Kustodiev wrote many female portraits, but male portraits, too, was a lot.

And below you will see a canvas of the brush Vasily Andreevich Tropinin, which is called "Portrait of captain F. p. Glebov-Streshnev" (1840). It seems that he looks at you, so authentically the artist depicted him.

In the photo below - a picture of the artist by Fyodor Antonovich Bruni, and it is called "the Apostle Matthew". Bruni was a Russian artist of Italian origin, a representative of academic style in art.
