Hello, Steemians! Hi friends! I congratulate you on the start of the new week. Let all conceived will turn out, good to you and prosperity. And I will talk about an interesting writer who wrote many amazing adventure and historical novels, essays and stories. **Vasily Yan** is the author of my favorite historical novels.

His real name — **Yanchevetsky**. The writer studied Oriental languages and the life of the local population since childhood. He visited many villages, fishing and hunting villages, with simple rafters rafting on the rivers of Russia, and collected a unique ethnographic material, which was used in his novels.

Vasily Yan worked as a teacher in the village of Uyuk, Uryankhai region, which is probably why his books were published in these publishers./ He was a reporter, then editor and head of editorial office of the newspaper "Vlast Truda" in Minusinsk. In addition to novels, he published his essays there, wrote plays for the city theater. It was then that he first began to subscribe pseudonym Jan.

In the early 20th century he traveled through the Karakum desert, visited the Khiva Khan and his heir, and even participated in a research expedition to the Persian-Afghan border. Some time Vasily Grigoryevich worked even in marching printing house of army of Kolchak in Siberia.

The Central Asian theme was Central to his work, but I wanted to share with you my impressions after reading his unique trilogy.

This is called the Trilogy "Invasion of Mongols", which includes the novels:

the

"Genghis Khan", "Baty", "To the last sea".

In the first of the novels of this series describes the conquest of the Mongol-Tatars Khorezm khanate. Their invasion of Iran, the Caucasus, is also very colorful represented by the battle of Kalka in 1223.

But a Central figure in the novel is represented by Genghis Khan.
    V. Yang showed it as cruel and treacherous commander, with a mad thirst for power over the world.

Vasily Grigoryevich described in detail the last years of existence of the powerful Khorezm khanate, and showed to the readers preparation of Genghis Khan for its decisive capture.

The Writer begins the novel with the words:"The Falcon in the sky is powerless without wings. Man on earth is weak without a horse."

Whatever happens has its cause, the beginning of the rope entails the end of it. Taken correctly the path through the plains of the universe leads the wanderer to the intended purpose, and the mistake and carelessness will lure him to the salt flats of death.
If a person will have occasion to observe the extraordinary, such as the eruption of the volcanic mountain that destroyed the flowering of the village, the uprising of oppressed people against the all-powerful lords or the invasion of the earth of the Motherland unprecedented and unbridled people – all this saw needs to tell the paper. And if he is not trained in the art of stringing words at the end of a cane, then he should tell his memories to an experienced scribe, so that he draws what he says on durable sheets to edify his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

And thanks to this stringing today we can learn a lot of interesting and unusual.

From the gates of the pairs came "Gandara" – the executioners of the Shah, portly, muscular, in a blue shirt with rolled-up sleeves to his shoulders, a wide yellow trousers embroidered with red patterns. Holding on the shoulder large Khorasan swords, they stretched out in a chain around the square, pushing the crowd. The last was the chief executioner, "Prince of anger" Mahmoud Jahan-Pahlavan ("strong man of the universe"), tall, stooped, skinny, with outspread hands, the famous Strangler. His Bathrobe was tucked inside the yellow suede trousers and a wide belt tightened. Over the shoulder hung a carpet bag. In it, he will bring Shah the head of the most important executed.

In the second book of the trilogy describes the story of the grandson of Genghis Khan, a cruel tyrant Batye, who as well as his grandfather sought to conquer the Universe.

The writer showed in detail the struggle of Batu for power, recreated a heroic picture of the struggle of the Russian people against the Mongol-Tatar invaders.

This is how he introduces his reader to this hero:

Hajji Rahim, holding back the growling dog, watched the newcomer. Confidence and power were felt in all his movements. He untied his belt, took off his outer clothing, and hung it on a wooden nail. With labour snatching the yellow soaked boots, the night visitor has cast them aside and fell back on the old, worn rug near the fading hearth. Then as calmly as if at home, he wiped his wet hands on the sheepskin lying on the carpet fur.

The novel a lot of interesting words: torgoud, azanchi, urton, nukers, urany, Hur and others.
You will get acquainted with rare tree called the elm, learn about the life of the citizens of Signak, and the actions of long-bearded imams, Qadi, and respected vekil. Learn what the city is hiding behind the surprising title Masha, or Muscat?

Each page will tell you about something else unknown, surprising, mysterious...

And in the third book, readers will learn about Sharukhan – the nomad Polovtsev, near the present Kharkov. and a lot of interesting things from that time...
