#monomad photography challenge - Beware of the zombies!
Hello
The first time i watched a zombie movie, there were just imaginary creatures that had nothing to do with our real world. As i watched more zombie related movie and tv series i realized they act so much like people in general. They just follow obvious cues, they don't think, they walk in groups but no teamwork. They're considered dangerous to men when not managed.
I know there are no real zombies in this world, but aren't we a little bit acting like them, more and more each year?
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge by @monochromes

You echo my thoughts exactly!
Have you ever thought about chaniging this, undoing its ffects?
You mean waking people up?! Say, dear man, you ever read a blog of mine?
I think it affects us too, the difference is that we know it, (a little),
Question is what can i do to not be one of them?
eat, pray & love :)
Nowadays "pray" has to be explained and so I must ad that I am not preaching religion but support the goal to attain wisdom. Pray is just a filler for all this inner work.
Congratulations. Today's #monomad first place is yours. Thank You very much for participating.
Thank you for the contest and first place.

Man all these times I was irregular on my posts and you were posting awesome shots. Great. So cool!
Glad to see you posting your shots!
Someone should be posting regularly, sometimes me, sometimes you, that's teamwork. Lol.
Though i think you're doing more here
Interesting how you say it. When I saw my first zombie movie - I think I was 12 or 13 - I was quite horrified by this terribly exaggerated and completely unrealistic portrayal of people. Never in my life would I have proved you right that people behave like zombies. You said: "As i watched more zombie related movie and tv series i realized they act so much like people in general."
When you watch more of the same, you think more of the same. Everything you focus your mental attention on then gets a meaning that you give it. For example, if you are obsessed with a topic or problem and continue to put yourself into that problem and see more and more subtopics and undertones about that problem as confirming, you will eventually be convinced that all humans are narcissists. To name just one example.
"They just follow obvious cues, they don't think, they walk in groups but no teamwork. They're considered dangerous to men when not managed."
Indeed. People follow the obvious. This is a strategy that has proven to be very useful. There is food on the tree, I do the obvious and pick it because I know this food is non-toxic and will keep me alive. I don't need to think anymore in this case. But then I have the opportunity to think more on other occasions when something is new and unknown to me.
Yes, I move in a group and teamwork is not required when the whole group is just heading for a goal, pushing its way through the subway tunnel.
But many people work very well in a team and enjoy it if they are motivated to do so by other team members or role models or even superiors. And why not? People always need leadership just as they can give leadership to others. Each according to his strengths and stage of life.
What if you saw a movie and a picture of a super friendly exaggerated creature? Or of angles who catch one from falling on the railroad track?
Would you say that there are no real angels in this world, but that we are a little bit acting like them, more and more each year?
;-)
Edit: Your picture transports in a very reminding way those zombies! Well done.
I have to agree with you, i tend to see the negative side more than the positive.
And also my writing was based on the photo, and that was what came to my mind when thinking about this photo. Though many of my photos have that dark tones with no colors.
Anyway i still think that more and more people start to follow the herd, just because it's the trend, i think as we aquire more powerful tools every year, we think less than before (because we don't need to).
For example, you have a old bicycle and you travel 20km everyday. It takes you 1.5h each day, to reduce the time, you try harder and harder, you become stronger, but you can also buy a new bike, but that just makes you weaker, even if the time is reduced by 50%.
(Now i realize the example is not much related to the topic, but worth noting)
