I'm a huge supporter of Dash. Great post.

Good thing then ^^ DASH is the future.

Hey! Don't say bad about bitcoin!

Lol? 1mnb blocksize is not bad, its just pathetic.

wait until somebody hacks that bigger blocks

hacks blocks?? what?? you know that it isnt possible ha?

only the time will tell..

ETH is already preparing with tehir metropolis update to even ensure safety of getting hacked by quantum-computers, so be sure crypto is aware of these issues and will handle it properly ^^

If I understand the concerns about Bitcoin correctly, the concerns are mainly focussed on the scaling debate. More in particular, the danger of Bitcoin forking again. This could lead to loss of trust in Bitcoin, potentially leading to other coins overtaking Bitcoin in terms of usage and a messy period during this transition.

What I miss in the conversation is the risk that other coins also can run into debates about software changes. If it happens to bitcoin, it can (and would) happen to other coins as well if multiple groups defend multiple interests.

And why Dash would take over is not clear to me either. It is not without its own controversies either, and why would it suddenly become the darling of everyone (I would give Ethereum higher chances, although not primarily a transactional currency)?

But in the end, competition is good. Also in the cryptocurrency sphere as it drives competition. On that note, see for a newcomer on the privacy coins front: DeepOnion.

DASH has scaling plans up to 400mb in the coming 5 years. Please just read the Evolution Roadmap. Discussions about 1mb or 2mb blocksize are so ridicolous. To compete with Mastercard or Visa you need a blocksize of minimum 400mb and at best over 500mb. Their systems are totally strong and awesome. BTC and even BCC with 8mb are just not enough. Sorry, but DASH supremacy is coming soon ^^

Wouldn't 400Mb blocks make storage of a blockchain quickly unwieldy?

Not if you have decent mining and masternode hardware. Our new DASH Labs in Hongkong with Evan Duffield is working on building our own Hardware to make this possible ^^

But that would mean that the ordinary GPU miner in moms basement wouldn't be involved anymore. Wouldn't that work towards centralisation of Dash?

DASH cant be mined with GPU, X11 is an ASIC algo. No, because all the mno´s are rich enough for that and mining DASH is already very hard, if you have looked at the hash rate in the last 6 month.

Well, Dash really seems to be ahead of Monero if it comes to broad industry-wide adoption on exchanges and online cryptocurrency banks. Good luck with this project.

Thank you ^^ and dont forget to buy DASH ;-)
