Update #74: Writing Expedition ✍️ | Friday: Diary Game
Greetings friends,
It's a pleasure to join the writing expedition contest for the week and since today is Friday we are going to be looking at the diary game. I want to share with you all how I spent my day.
Fridays are usually periods when we try to conclude the work for the week. As you all may have known, I'm currently working with Microcima Africa a loan institution where we offer loans to small-scale business owners to help them boost their businesses.
Every day I resume work as early as 7:30 a.m. and then close at about 6:00 p.m., though as the branch manager, I'm always in the office and that is the reason why I still have some time to perform my activities on the Steemit platform. It has been a wonderful experience over the past few days because I have also learned a lot from the job.
So the image you see above is the selfie I took while in my office after doing a few work I needed to do such as reconciliation of the previous day's operations and ensuring that all money collected for the previous day was deposited to the bank. Also, I ensure to send a report to the branch head in Abuja as it is a routine that must be done every day.
When I was done, I received a call from the school I'm teaching on a part-time basis that they needed me to come and conduct practicals for the students. So I immediately left the office and went to the school, on getting to the school I discovered that the entire system had been abandoned for a while making most of them not function properly.
Seeing that I needed to carry out some maintenance in the lab I told the lecturer whose course I was to take that we could hold it today because I needed to ensure that all systems or at least a good reasonable number were functioning properly before we could go ahead.
Hearing this he then told me to address the students and then fix another day that will be convenient for me so that they can come and then hold the class. So I fixed Saturday for them hoping that the available time can be used to fix the entire system.
So when I was able to dismiss the students, I started checking the system one after the other. I was able to fix 20 systems and ensured that they were up and running also I advised the course rep to group the students in 20 per group so that everyone would be on a system when we started the practical.
So after everything I left and went back to the office hopefully on Saturday since I don't usually go to Microcima Africa work I will use the time to lecture and guide the students through the practicals as they will be using the systems for their examination. So that was how I spent my day.
I invite @josepha, @solaymann, and @ruthjoe to join the contest.
Thank you, friend!
