I'm honoured to present my entry in this wonderful contest today. The topic of discussion talks about my thoughts about microblogging. Indeed almost everyone on the steemit platform today started with microblogging. I guess I won't be out of place to say that we all have used one microblogging platform or the other.

Indeed almost everyone on the steemit platform today started with microblogging. I guess I won't be out of place to say that we all have used one microblogging platform or the other.
I want to discuss in-depth today some of the basic microblogging platforms I have used by answering the questions given below in this task. Without further ado, let's go straight into the topic of discussion.

Yes, I have used several microblogging platforms before. I came in contact with all these microblogging platforms before I met steemit as a platform. Microblogging platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, 2go, Instagram, WhatsApp etc are a few of the platforms I came in contact with before meeting the steemit platform.
These platforms are amazing because you get to chat with friends far and near, and it also enables you to see people you may know just like the case of Facebook. It is a means through which we discuss at length with our friends and love ones through chatting since we may not have enough airtime to often make calls.
When I first got to know about platforms like Facebook, 2go and WhatsApp, I don't allow a day to pass me by without reading through what other users are sharing. Some of the content may be for fun, others may be educative whereas others are true life stories.
To me, these platforms help us to communicate easily and speedily with our friends and loved ones. Chatting became part of me as a person hence I do it often and I find pleasure in it. I enjoyed microblogging applications even when I don't get paid for using their application.
When I came across steemit as a platform, my love and desire for those applications drastically reduced because I wasn't earning anything other than chatting with friends. So I reduce my rate of using microblogging platforms.
Would you like to have a brand new microblogging platform based on Steem? How could you get advantage of this? |

Having a brand new microblogging platform based on steem will be a very great improvement for the steem blockchain. As we all know, currently, when community curators are selected or any group is selected to work with the steemit team, they will be asked to submit their discord or telegram identity.
This means that the steemit team uses other microblogging platforms such as a telegram to communicate effectively with steemians. If steem should have a microblogging platform, it will not only benefit the recent users of steem but more people will come to know about the platform via such applications.
If for example, steem has a microblogging platform called steam-chat and it works the same ways as Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, discord or Instagram, you will agree with me that it will be as popular as those platforms are currently and if users know about it, they will also be aware of the steemit platform and the steem token which will make it even more popular.

As we all know, everything that has an advantage also has a disadvantage. Microblogging also has its pros and cons and I will be highlighting a few of them below.

Microblog Hing will be an added advantage for the steemit platform as it will bring in more users to the platform. Having a microblogging platform built on steem will enable all steemit users and others to make use of the platform properly. The case of using discord or telegram for selected curation team members or any other selected work on the platform will be eradicated. I want to invite @ubongudofot, @goodybest, @loloy2020
