Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 18/2/2022.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 5 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 18/2/2022.

I nearly went missing for altogether 5 days, 2 were definitely missed as you may have noticed. It firstly started with me having some terrible back pains, this was for a few hours and were better described more like excruciating lower back pains. Along with that I had fever and felt nauseous, I believe the nauseous part which came later may have been from the pain but some say I may of even had covid. For the rest of the days I was mostly still recovering from the ordeal and dealing with a headache which still to this day is making appearances, on day 3 I did however started to come on again but with great difficulty. Finally on day 5 I almost felt back to normal but still drained and tired, I had plans to meet with friends for the night, we would of been out until the early hours of the morning and so I would miss another day of posting. I spent most of that day trying to figure out whether or not to cancel for the night, I tried listening to the body but it was still difficult to make-up my mind. In the end it was a "no" and I'm glad I listened because it turned out schedule wise this wasn't a night suited for my friends either. Still what better gift this month but to reach Super Dolphin, which means committing to holding around 30000 Steem Power. The bitcoin downwave helped me gather more Steem power, not much I admit but I predicted that this fall could indeed happen and so I held on to some of those SBD's in hope of getting a better deal. It worked and it got me to Super Dolphin, but what I do regret is when BTC fell I should of turned some of the Steem I was transferring "to BTC first", waited for it to bounce back up again and then exchange it for STEEM again. Like this I could of gained a few more in the process helping me get to the next dolphin rank and since the value of STEEM didn't change much for this past round I think I could of gained a little. Still the lower prices do provide a opportunity for those who want to get more involved with Steem. Which reminds me ... I'm concerned about the Bittrex wallet for Steem remaining "Inactive" the Bittrex exchange is important for the flow of Steem, plus I brought more Steem to transfer onto Steemit for Power. I can't continue to contribute as much to Steem and nor can others without it costing more on fees plus, even worse this move is locking up users funds which remain useless and stuck on their exchange. It simply says the wallet is "under maintenance" something I have seen happen before yes but not for this long, it specifically states that "Deposits and withdrawals are temporarily offline. Currency Maintenance". I believe the wallet as been under maintenance since Tue Dec 21 2021! If they are closing the wallet then surely provide us with the time and information to get our funds out. 🏆If your interested in winning another upvote from myself anybody who can find any updated useful information on the topic " include a source" from where the information was found, then share below on the comments section and you might just win a upvote from me "that is if your the first to comment with that particular info", or even just let me know if you have heard anything, maybe your thoughts🏆?. Perhaps @bittrex could let us know what is going on? As for the weather February started a little warmer, but scrap that as for most of the month it turned real cold again, we was predicted to have 2 storms for the weekend and so far that was a kept promise as I was surprised by how strong the winds we had going today, it didn't rain much but the winds were strong but at least the days are being brighter for longer. Today I was off from work and thank goodness as I was getting tired from doing all the longer shifts but at least the money is finally beginning to catch-up, not by much but it's some motivation. I went to sleep earlier but this morning got up later, since I was off I decided I was going to take some extra rest, normally I regret this but today I was really glad it did. I still got everything I wanted done, I could of gone to meet with a friend but glad I didn't since the weather is so insane but I'm sure the next storm will catch-up with me. Apparently there were many places that shut for business and even many methods of transport halted. I guess I was a little surprised by this because near me everything just ran as normal despite the crazy wind. And from what I understand all family and friends also continued as usual. Yesterday I did feel a little sluggish for most of the day along with that headache again trying to make a nonsense of itself but I think the rest today helped with this issue. It could of indeed been because I hadn't been drinking enough water I did notice the headache back off when I drunk more. Plus it doesn't help that when I got in work for the morning I noticed everybody around me was basically sick. Still apart from that one of the superiors was complaining about the mess left on the upper floor "when I went to investigate this later as I was doing my usual tasks" I honestly didn't really notice anything so completely out of the ordinary. Not sure she was probably just in a complaining type of mood, yes sure there was mess and it was maybe something that could be helped and yes it sucks for whoever needs to tidy up but still I feel she was taking it a little far. As I was about to leave I was asked if I could stay a little longer, apparently the main and honest reason was so that one of the superiors could smoke, lol I would love to write that down on a form as to why I had to stay behind. I'm sure the guys above wouldn't be happy about that at all, still I agreed as I was not in for long that morning. Unlike the other day it was a really long day even to the point that I was staying past my time without realising it. Funnily it was a colleague who noticed and said "what time do you finish?" while he looked at he's watch I said " I know right I still have another hour to go" No he said, well unless I'm going crazy but I think your good to go. I checked with the superior and she said I was good to go, and so I wasted no time being there a moment longer lol. There was stupid jobs to do but I decided I wasn't going to do them..well that as the plan until I realised one of the superiors would be in the area later, this was moments before I was about to leave, but as they asked me to stay longer I decided to rush and do some of it before I leave just incase. The crippled guy is apparently no longer crippled but he did complain he was worried that he might make it worse again. The superior who gave most people the creeps magically returned, I'm not too surprised because it seems to be a of a habit in this place with people leaving and returning. Honestly sometimes I do wonder if people do it on purpose just for the sake of attention and gifts..nah couldn't be that..Still like always I didn't give her much attention on the matter of that or much of anything else. There was news that all travel rules for covid would be scrapped by February, this was a lie, disappointing, but they were claiming another big date will come in March where all rules will be scrapped...but wait.. now they are saying again it will happen in Feb any day now. As for the progress on fitness I lost about %70 of the weight gained by the lockdowns, I done this by tracking my step count per-day and doing small daily workouts. It began back in April 2021 and it continued until the beginning of October, this is when my work schedule began to revert back to normal which made it too difficult to continue. Due to my inconsistent shifts all over the place I still find it difficult to continue.
