Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 17/1/2022.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 5 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 17/1/2022.

Half way thought January already it's gone so fast, so we didn't start the year with Steem at $8 that was 2018, instead the price of Steem dropped. We had not seen Steem fall this low in a while which as been pleasing to see, there was some recovery and while it's not back to where it was Steem is still higher today than what it used to be. This lower price provides a opportunity for those who want to get more involved with Steem, and there could definitely be another fall with BTC if people panic enough but I'm thinking this isn't going to happen now. What would be good is if it could hold off until I reach the 30k SP mark on here, yup please thank you lol. Which reminds me there is something I'm getting rather concerned about and that is the fact that the wallet on Bittrex for Steem still remains "Inactive" the Bittrex exchange is important for the flow of Steem plus I brought more Steem to transfer onto Steemit for Power. It's how I continue to contribute more to Steem and so do many others but since the Bittrex wallet remains Inactive I can't do anything with those funds. I understand it says the wallet is "under maintenance" which is something I have seen happen already many times, it specifically states that "Deposits and withdrawals are temporarily offline. Currency Maintenance." but I also saw some information that I'm not sure about but I think it means that the wallet as been under maintenance since Tue Dec 21 2021! If this is the case I don't remember the wallet being offline for so long..well at least since the split to the hive token. It's unfortunately issues like this that feed the narrative that crypto will never work. I personally haven't seen any information Bittrex stating it would close down it's Steem wallet but perhaps I have missed this somewhere? 🏆If your interested in perhaps winning another upvote from me anybody who can find any updated useful information on what is going on with the Steem Bittrex wallets " include the source" from where the information was found, then share below on the comments section then you might just win a upvote from myself if your the first to comment with that information🏆. We must also remember that there is little doubt that the movement of BTC falling would also effect the price of SBD's which some of us have been using to gather Steem-power. Knowing that this was getting close to collapsing had many worried about using their current strategies. As for the weather this "new year" began mild, it got colder as the days went on but my goodness did it get really freezing cold just a few days later! Luckily we sometimes had rain in the morning which washed away some of the cold. Strangely this past week it's actually been the sunshine warming us up. Well barely.. but at least it's been a little milder an lighter for longer, actually today I have to admit the sun was even quiet strong, that's if you could stand under it long enough then you would probably feel hot. As for the disappearing text messages it was resolved with a factory reset, the phone as been working like new now, so apart from the step counter app all that remains is that for some reason I got banned from WhatsApp without a warning or justification. Very frustrating but if the phone continues working well I might consider trying again with hopes that I can get back on it. Today I was in work for the morning shift and I couldn't believe it when I got in.. all the work that needed doing, I guess this was my punishment for yesterday being happy about leaving 30 mins before it started to come through. Normally this doesn't happen but what made it much more painful was its all the more complicated stuff that was left. Sure there was a guy helping me get through it this morning but at one point he just vanished, it's not the first time he's done this but when it's time for him to go with some people he just disappears without saying a word lol. While my job was just to sort this out for the morning it was kind of gruelling lol and so glad when I got out. Anyway I was in on time as the other day I was late for work lol, not by much just under 10 minutes but this rarely ever happens to me and since lately they started getting very strict with lateness I thought I was going to be in the office for sure. Amazingly I didn't, I'm not sure if it's because I'm never late so nobody actually noticed or if they did notice and let it slip for various reasons. The reason for being late is I feel I was cursed on the day lol, seriously everything was just going so wrong, you know what I mean when I say that just every single little thing was going wrong, and this is what somehow made me mis-judged the time. Still I got to ask my colleague who was away because of covid how it was. He told me the first week of covid he felt basically like he had a bad flu and that by the 2nd week it was like a minor cold, he said overall he enjoyed being in quarantine because he got to chill at home lol. As for the progress on fitness I lost about %70 of the weight gained by the lockdowns I done this by tracking my step count per-day and doing small daily workouts. It began back in April 2021 and it continued until the beginning of October, this is when my work schedule began to revert back to normal which made it too difficult to continue. I come to the conclusion it had to be put on hold at least until the new year began. And as for steps the app for recording them was no longer working correctly, but I have reset my phone and might consider trying it again as I was doing around 105k steps for my weekly goal.

This is great news and I guess a obvious reason as to why the price of Steem increased. And so all these accounts together we hold around 12mil Steem from here I hope to continue to collect and lock-up even more STEEM! My goal 🌍 is to now reach 30.000 SP🏆, hopefully by the end of June 2022. I want to thank everybody who does vote in and for their kind support, I have now been on here for over 5 years and never powered down✔️ not once!! 🚫. I also continue to invest into STEEM with small quantities using my own fiat currency✔️, your votes can help with this also.
