RE: Win a Membership in Steem Basic Income - Tell us About a Favorite Freewrite- Closed

On fb, not on steemit. I'm not trained and have not done a course since 1988,analogue. I have always had a secretary, as my bosses have always thought my spoken truth too straight for letters, and better in the field with workers and contracted workers. Officers job is diplomacy, but I read Sir Terry Pratchett when I met him in Suffolk back in early eighties, and diplomacy is the art of lieing to the opposition and not lieing to own side. 😂

That is funny. Well, maybe you meet someone who can show you how to do this. I am not a tec person myself. But to get around it, you could enter the name of the person you recommend and the day of the prompt, title of the author's post. That would work too.

OK, but reading is slowed by how much reading there is and how little time. I will put some time in, but can promise nothing. As I mentioned, I don't find writing the difficulty. That is reducing the material into bits, precis and subject matters separately so as to cover one point at a time. Five minute freewrite doesn't seem to have much call for me, as I'm more likely to stop, put my pen down, go and hoover a room or make a bed, then come back having rewritten a sentence in my head. One of the poems I put up, Called, A Visionary, is a one line at a time work done while on LSD at a house party in my mis-spent youth. I deliberately put a notebook and Biro aside, (where unlikely to be disturbed by trippers) and every time I passed through that room, would look at last line, and immediately write one more line. It came out extremely well considering. So my freewrite practice was done nearly forty years ago, and nowadays it's not writing, it's writing shortly 😇

Keep on keeping on.

You don't have to join. But it is fun. And if you want to join this contest we are going to do every Tuesday, you will have to read some other people's stuff. Everything is completely up to you. All good.

Time! It's all about time. There's a poem right there. When is Tuesday? I live in SEQ which is 10 hr before GMT.

Yes. My Tuesday is your Wednesday. So, check in Wednesday and Thursday. we usually keep it open 36 hours to accommodate for all the different time zones

Thank-you. So many forget when posting to the world, that reference to their time is inconsequential to the majority of their possible readers. Of course to each of us there is only now, but the now I perceive here, has a different designation than that of anyone of a different longitude. To refer to this morning or evening, is to refer to one's own locale, but few writing within steemit seem to remember that tomorrow is already here on steemit, and yesterday is not yet over. 😇
