How Steemit made my dream come true

Hey everyone,

I guess this is partially a story, and partially a thank you letter.
I have been an amature nature photographer for years now, with special passion about butterflys, and I was always using a cheap point-and-shoot camera as I never had the money to buy "real equipment".
I've set up a goal, to get me a Canon 500D, to start with the world of professional photography, and I wanted to raise the money for it selling photos.
I tried everything, from stock photo websites, to private photography sites where you pay to be featured, and it hardly even made enough to cover itself.

A good friend, @steempy pointed Steem out for me, and said I should try.
I uploaded a few photos and left it be, thinking "oh well, maybe it will make something", and all of a sudden people here were liking my stuff, and voting me all over the place, and on the first payment I managed to get 0.4 btc, went on ebay, bidded on a used Canon 500D, And thanks to all of you, its in the mail on its way here :)

I guess what I want to say is, Thank you, everyone, somewhere across the ocean you made someone really happy :) Never give up your dreams :)
