Work in progress of a sweet Pekingese dog ^_^
My work on commissions I received continue and today I started a portrait of a sweet Pekingese dog called Zoe. It will be a gift from for a friend of one of my local customer and she asked me to paint this portrait in my own illustrative style.
I'm loving to work on this kind of doggie, because she's similar to the first dog I had: a beautiful sweet shi-tzu called Carlotta. I miss her so much, even if she passed away more than 15 years ago and so, working on ths artwork, I'm thinking about my love for Carlotta.
I'm working on this doggie slowly, because I want to represent her sweetness as better I can. I added all around my typical little delicate leaves, but I have to adjust the hair and some shadows too.
I need another couple of hours to finish it, but when it will be ready I'll show you the final result!
In the meantime, I'm taking part in a online class teached by Adolfo Serra, an illustrator I love so much. It's a little gif I gave to myself and I'm really happy to earn something on how to draw a book for children from an illustrator I like! I'll tell you more about this course in one of my next content, primise!
