Work in progress: man and bird
Today I started to work on a new oil painting on paper (200 gr paper in A4 size) about a man and a bird. This idea came to me in a veary simple way: I drew a couple of big circle on the paper and after I thought they could be the faces of one of my rounded-head men and one freaky bird ^_^
As you can see in the pics, I have to add some details and to work better on the background, but I think tomorrow it will be ready to dry.
I worked on this painting using one of our little tables that we bought in the Ikea store. It's perfect to work on some drawing because I can adjust the height and the slope of this table ^_^
Well, it's time to wear my pajama and to sit on the sofa!

I love sipping coffee in my pyjamas as well, in fact I'm doing it write now as I comment of a morning in my bed, luckily @winstonalden always brings me a hot cuppa in bed before he heads off to the trains and the city :)
I think there's nothing better than a man who brings up a hot cup of coffee to his better half still in bed! So romantic!!!

Un disegno molto particolare e interessante. Mi piace moltissimo la figura del l'uccellino. Sono curiosa di vedere cosa migliorerà lo sfondo.

Sono curiosa di vedere il risultato finale. Non ho mai usato l'olio su carta, di solito mi affido alle vecchie care matite, qua e là l'acquerello, mi piace molto il tuo risultato.
Io si, vivo a Siena ormai da tutta la vita, in realtà sono siciliana
Sicilia e Toscana, due regioni che hanno colori degni della tavolozza del miglior artista, ottimo connubio ;)

Looks good already. I always find images of people without mouths a bit scary, though 8-).

Don't worry, I have to add the mouth because I also think people without mouths are a bit scary :P
About the table, I think at the end it will be an abstract artwork :D
This painting would look great as a pillow cover - I'd love it in my family room ! I know it's a work in progress and I am looking forward to seeing the result - but I like it just like this too :)
