Watching the moon
Yesterday night the moon was totally full, a perfect white circle in the dark sky. Tonight the sky is full of clouds (it's raining) and so I can't see the moon, but I can use my imagination ^_^
Thinking about the moon, I sketched a new fairy with white/grey hair and a long ochre dress.
I think this "scene"could be an interesting oil painting and maybe I'll work on this soon!
From yesterday I'm watching many old illustrations about fairies, illustrations from all over the worlds and I have to say that there are many different "ideas" on how a fairy is.
In Italy, we can find some information about the first fatine (the italian fairies) in the Middle Age, like a new nymphs from the ancient mythology. The first fatine look like the medieval women: they wore an hennin (an headdress in frm of cone) and a long colored dress. After, the fatine started to have also a magic wand.
I'll write about italian folkore stories of the fatine in one of my next contents ^_^

Very nice Silvia... we could use some of that rain over here, with all the forest fires.
@denmarkguy , here also we had too much forest fires in these last days of summer, in many parts of Italy. Luckely now it's raining and maybe the "season" of fires in the forest is end. :(
