The blank page

in #life6 years ago

Sometimes it happens. In front of you there is a  blank page and your mind seems to be blocked. This happens in different moments. It happens to the children at school, it happens to writers, it happens to artists, it happens also here when you'd like to share something, but the words seem to be reluctant to get out of your mind.

When I was at school, around I was 12/13 years old, I have a fantastic teacher who loves to improve our creativity and our imagination, especially when we had to write something. She always said to us that, when we was blocked in front of a blank page, we simply had to leave our hands free to write. Don't think about what you have to write, just leave our hands free.

Sure, it's not so simple, because we have the habit to think before to write something. Ok, reading here and there, sometimes people seem not think too much before to write something (this is the reason why I don't like so much facebook ^_^), but the most part of them think about they want to write and share.

For example, this week is a busy week for me. I did and I have to do many different things around and there are a lot of things that I'd like to talk to you, but this morning, when I opened the page to write a content here, I was blocked by myself. The blank page!

I left my hands free to write and sure, my hands write about the blank page! It's ok, it's not a problems, I think it happens to many different people in the world. There's not shame to admit that sometimes  it happens.

To me, it happens also in art. Sometimes I have a blank canvas in front of me and I felt myself blocked. Doesn't matter. I have 2 options:

1. wait the "right" moment to paint

2. leave my hands free to do what they want

Usually I choose the second one, just because I know that even if I'd like to paint an idea I ad in my mind, paint something randomly is always a good exercise for my hands and my minds too. ^_^

Well, it's time to go and to start my busy day ^_^

See ya soon

I get this sometimes when writing, or not as is the case. Creating articles gets addictive but when the creative juices dry up its not so cool.

Yes, when the creative juice dry up is not cool, but fortunately there are some things that we can do waiting everything come back to be cool :D

If ''blank'' attacks, leave it and go for a walk, or watch some tv serial all day as I do sometimes :)) It cures @silviabeneforti, and as you said, it happens to all of us, it's so normal.

This is the third option when I'm blocked : to watch tv series! During this days I watched a couple of new interesting series ^_^

Here are some suggestions I watched recently, if you haven't seen them jet, and if you are fan of this sort..

And still watching this excellent one

If only all blank pages had a cute bird in it 8-).

I heartily agree with the take action stance. If you simply put pen/pencil to paper and just start moving it about something will come and when writing, same thing, start writing and typing a sentence and it sort of 'unlocks' that portion of your brain as if to say, 'ok, I'm ready let's go' :)

Darling little bird.

Great Post 😆
