studying facial expressions

in #art9 years ago

Today I exercised my hands drawing different facial expressions.

Sometimes just few touches are enough to change an expressions. The line of the eyebrow, the eyes more opened tan usual, the corners of the mouth, the wrinkles.

As artist, I'm very intrigued by the facial expression, they are one of te forms of nonverbal communication and they are a primitive form of communication between people.

The facial expressions can be adopted voluntarily (socially conditionated) or involuntarily (innate), but they are always interesting to observe. For my artworks, it's very important to represent an emotion using the correct facial expression, as you can understand ^_^
