Searching fresh thoughts in the backyard
Before to meet my hubby (about 5 years ago) I had lived my life out of the city, in little villages between the forests and where the air was always fresh and smell of nature all around. Before to meet him I thought the life in the city was very different and not the right life for me. I was in wrong and I want to explain why.
Now I live in the city, a small city (Pistoia, Italy) where I can go everywhere without a car and this is good, because when I lived in the village I had to drive many times at day to go to work, to go to market, to drive my daughter to school when she was a child, etc. Living in a small city is different to live in a big city and so we have some benefits like a backyard between some other fields, a little river close to home, many trees in the streets in our area and some awesome parks all around. I can go to my friends walking for just few minutes and if I need something I have many different kind of little shop cose to my home.
Yes, sometimes I need to walk into a forest, but it's not a problem, because in hat case I use my car and in just an half of hour I can walk in the forest where I usually search mushrooms ^_^
Before to meet my hubby I thought the city was not for me, but now I say "Never say never"!

This is what I see when I'm in the backyard and if I open the outdoor in the other side of my house I can see the city. Great ^_^

I have always loved both city and country. It has been my goal, for years, to divide my time each year between the two. Sometimes and some years I manage it. I love the change of deep quiet country and seaside, as I sort of have now, and then the movement and convenience of the city. It's as if one helps me to appreciate the other.
It seems your city is an amazing size, not too big or too small.
Yes, my city have the right size to live really well. When I was a young girl I thought it was too small, but now that I'm "a bit older" I appreciate so much my city and every single things it can give me. It's also placed better than other cities, because driving for about 30 minutes I can see the sea and, in the other direction, I can see the mountain ;)
